Qualifications

  • This position requires prior experience of inspection in a manufacturing environment.

 Position Summary

Perform quality inspections in the following QC functions:

  • Incoming Inspection of raw materials and purchased components.
  • In-Process Inspection of product in all manufacturing stages.
  • Final/Outgoing Quality Inspections of finished (RTS) parts and/or assemblies.
  • Perform inspections on Prototypes from start to finish.
  • Work on a daily basis assisting team members from Production, Assembly, and Shipping and Receiving personnel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proficient in reading of engineering drawings.
  • Use of measurement equipment including Height Gage, Calipers, Micrometers, Gage Pins, Radius Gages, Etc.
  • General knowledge ISO-9001:2015, First Article and PPAP’s.
  • Perform Work Order Inspections and make updates in Epicor as necessary.

  • Facilitate Process Improvement through the implementation of ISO and Lean Methodologies.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Must have specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
  • Light physical effort is equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • May work at different stations as production needs required or shifts from one station to another during the assembly process.
  • The use of Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes is required.

Work Environment

Manufacturing shop plant employees will be exposed to vibration, moving, mechanical parts and other manufacturing tools, and machinery
