Aluminum fabrication is the process of cutting, forming, welding, and finishing aluminum into production-ready parts and assemblies. At Accurate Metal Fabricating, we provide aluminum fabrication for OEMs, manufacturers, and product teams that need precision parts, dependable lead times, and consistent quality. From enclosures and brackets to perforated panels and custom assemblies, we build the aluminum components you design, at scale.
Based in Cicero, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), our 140,000-square-foot metal fab shop has all the equipment needed under one roof. That means fewer handoffs, better quality control, and a smoother path from prototype to full production.

Why Choose Aluminum?
Aluminum remains one of the most versatile materials in metal fabrication - but not every sheet metal fabricator works with it. Aluminum offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, natural corrosion resistance, and a clean appearance. For many applications, that combination makes it easier to reduce weight without giving up durability.
It is also a practical choice for both indoor and outdoor products. Aluminum performs well in environments where moisture, temperature swings, or appearance matter. For manufacturers balancing function, finish, and long-term value, aluminum fabrication often provides the best overall solution.
Aluminum Fabrication Capabilities
We support aluminum fabrication at every stage of production. We always start with a prototype to dial in the part before switching into a high-volume mode. Our team has the equipment and experience to move the work efficiently.
Our three in-house lasers produce clean edges and tight dimensional control, which is especially important for aluminum parts that require accurate fit-up and forming. CNC punching and blanking allow us to create repeatable holes and cutouts for brackets, vented panels, and other functional components. Our press brake department handles both simple bends and more complex geometries, delivering consistent results across production runs.
We also provide Laser, MIG, TIG, and spot welding for aluminum assemblies. When finishing is required, we offer in-house powder coating and can support additional finishing options based on your project needs. The goal is simple: deliver aluminum parts that are built correctly, finished properly, and ready for use.
Aluminum Alloys We Commonly Work With
Different applications require different aluminum grades, and choosing the right one early can improve manufacturability and performance.
5052 is easier to bend and source than other alloys
6061 is a strong choice for structural components, frames, and mounts that require added strength.
3003 is commonly selected for architectural parts, signage, and airflow-related applications.
Other alloys include 1101 and 7075. If you are not sure which alloy is right for your application, our team can review your design and help guide the decision.
Aluminum Alloy Comparison Table
| Grade | Strength | Formability | Weldability | Corrosion Resistance | Common Uses |
| 5052-H32 | Medium-High | Excellent | Excellent | Excellent | Brackets, panels, enclosures |
| 6061-T6 | High | Fair | Good | Good | Structural components, frames, mounts |
| 3003-H14 | Low-Medium | Excellent | Excellent | Excellent | Kitchen equipment, signage, HVAC |
| 1101-H14 | Low | Excellent | Excellent | Excellent | Decorative panels, reflectors, chemical storage |
